I Remember the Future: The Award-Nominat
One thing I've seen other short fiction magazine publishers do is announce when they've bought a story. I like that, so I'm going to start doing the same.

Yesterday, we bought a story from Mary Robinette Kowal titled "Scenting the Dark." That rounded out issue 13.

Here's the fiction we have coming up:

"Scenting the Dark" (4000 words) - Mary Robinette Kowal
"Blankenjel" (6100 words) - Lavie Tidhar
"In the Seams" (7200 words) - Andrew Porter
"Nature of Blood" (7500 words) - George Mann
"I Know an Old Lady" (500 words) - Nathan Rosen
"The Limb Knitter" (6300 words) - Steven Francis Murphy
"These Days" (5600 words) - Katie Howenstine
"Collecting James" (5500 words) - Geoffrey Girard

We're shooting for a late June release...but don't be surprised if it gets bumped to July.

Andrew Porter fiction
I'd appreciate if your Andrew Porter would use their middle initial, to differentiate themselves from me, Andrew I. Porter, former editor/publisher of ALGOL/STARSHIP and SCIENCE FICTION CHRONICLE. This posting has already generated several queries to me.

Look me up in the Wikipedia, if you've never heard of me.

Re: Andrew Porter fiction
Wow, Andrew I(an) Porter. I use a "C" in my name and always make sure my contracts etc. are clear on this for no reason other than you. My writing has tended toward journalism for the most part, but science fiction is my passion and I was concerned with the name issue hence the "C". If it appears without said "C" at any point it is not my doing. In time I hope that Andrew I. Porter and Andrew C. Porter will undergo the John and John Q. Adams effect. If not I will change my name to Samuel C. Clemmons.
