The Photographic Evidence
I'd like to thank Debbie Kuhn and Norma Wirt for the photos.
Some brief thoughts about the event...
Turnout was amazing. At the height of the evening, around 90-100 people were in attendance (by my head count). The folks at Joseph-Beth Booksellers told me afterwards that it was one of the best attended events of the year.
Patricia Shevlin and Susanne Marques of Joseph-Beth were wonderful to work with. They did a top-notch job through and through.
A huge number of Apex alumni showed up. There's a bit of a joke that once you're published by us, you're initiated into the family...sort of like the mafia. But I like to think there's some truth to that. Naturally, the family will continue to grow and become more scary (global domination is always in the back of my mind).
The store reports that lots of books were sold. Great to hear.
Will there be another Apex Day? Dunno. Depends on demand, timing, finances, the usual sort of stuff. This one came off better than I ever dreamed, so chances are good...
